The name Okefenokee means, Land of the Trembling Earth, it is a 402,000 acre swamp that is one of the wildest places in North America. The swamp offers alot of differant things for all of us. There are guided boat tours, exploring the differant islands with lots of wildlife or you can go it on your own. If you decide to camp, fish, hunt, or explore the swamp on your own do not show up with junk or cheap equipment.
